# TraceBench > Free lot and batch traceability in your browser. Load one or two CSV exports and trace a lot forwards or backwards, with the row behind every link. Load one or two UTF-8 CSV files exported from your own systems, choose comma, semicolon or tab, and keep each original file unchanged with its SHA-256 fingerprint. Say whether each file records production (an input made into an output), despatch (an item in a shipment) or lots and serial units, then choose the code columns and their numbering names, a stable record ID, a sequence and times with an explicit format and time zone, and declare what the file covers. Scan or type a lot, serial or shipment code, choose the exact starting record and trace forwards (where did it go?) or backwards (what went into it?). Between two files, confirm one exact pair or declare that two material columns share a numbering, with a reason. See every reached record, every link with its original row, the gaps that limit the answer and separate project warnings, then download an A4 PDF or a CSV, either escaped for spreadsheets or lossless. Keep traces in the project history, save on this device or download a backup of the whole project, and prepare the tool for offline use. ## Pages - [TraceBench lot and batch traceability tool](https://tracebench.smartfact.ai/app/): Free lot and batch traceability in your browser.
